Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa
We begin the day by picking you up from your hotel starting at 4:30 AM, then we will travel in a tourist bus passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo, arriving at Mollepata (2,900 m.a.s.l.) around 7:30 AM. Upon arrival in Mollepata, there is a fee of S/ 20.00 soles for entrance to Mollepata and Humantay Lagoon. Here, we will also enjoy our first breakfast and hand over up to 5 kg of personal belongings to our horsemen.
Afterward, we will take a transport for approximately 1 hour to Challacancha (3,380 m.a.s.l.), the starting point of our hike. From there, we will hike for about 3 hours, arriving at Soraypampa (3,900 m.a.s.l.) around 1:30 PM, where we’ll have our first lunch and set up our first campsite. After lunch, we will hike to the stunning Humantay Lagoon.
Humantay Lagoon:
The ascent takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach the impressive Humantay Lagoon (4,220 m.a.s.l.), where you can admire its turquoise waters and the Apu Humantay glacier. We will then descend for about 40 minutes back to our Soraypampa camp.
At around 6:00 PM, we’ll have tea time, followed by a delicious dinner prepared by our chef. Finally, we’ll rest in our rustic cabins.

Day 2: SorayMapa –Salkantay- Colpapampa
At 5:00 am we will have a nutritious breakfast and then continue with our hike, we start from the point of Soraypampa to the highest point Abra Salkantay (3 hours) where we can appreciate the imposing snow-capped mountains Salkantay, Humantay, Tucarhuay and Pumasillo (4650m.s.n.m.) passing by Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha where we will appreciate a small lake. m) passing by Salkantaypampa and Soyrococha where we will appreciate a small lagoon. Then we will start the descent to Huayracmachay (3 hours) (3800m.a.s.l.) where we will have our lunch and then we will continue the hike where you will notice a dramatic change in the landscape, this hike is really impressive then we continue descending to Colpapampa (3 hours) (2900m.a.s.l.) where we will have our second camp. Soraypampa-Salkantay-Colpapampa (22 km-10 hours)
Day 3: Colpapampa – Sahuayaco Beach
We will have our breakfast at 06.00 am, then we will walk for 05.30 hours through our jungle with ascents and descents, in this journey we will appreciate coffee plantations, orchids, begoneas, bromeliads and many natural plants used for natural medicine, arriving at our lunch point Playa Sahuayaco where we will have lunch “buffet”. And we will stay there to rest. It is a warm place and we will be in contact with nature at 06.00 pm, for our tea and dinner. Colpapampa -beach- (12 km. 5 hours)
Day 4: Sahuayaco Beach-Luclabamba –Llactapata – Hydroelectric-Aguas Calientes
The sunrise will be inside a tropical zone, we will have our breakfast ready to taste, we will continue our trip with direction to Lucmabamba and Llacta pata for 3 hours to the ruins, and if we have a sunny and clear day we will be able to appreciate from a distance part of the majestic Machupicchu then we will descend to Hidroelectrica for 2 hours where we will have lunch in the restaurant, then we will continue with our walk through tropical zone to the town of Aguas Calientes for 3 hours more and we will settle in the hotel and wait for our dinner in a restaurant. Sahuayaco Beach – Lucmabamba-LlAtapata – Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes (20 km, 9 hours)
Day 5: Aguas Calientes- Machupicchu – Cusco
We will get up very early in the morning to visit Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu to visit temples, terraces, palaces and the platforms, then you will have time to take pictures. Afterwards you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to wait for your Expedition train at 14:55 or 18:20. Note: If in case you have Machupicchu or Huaynapicchu mountain you would be entering in the first hours from 6am – 8am taking into account that you will not have the guided to Machupicchu because there is no time for the guided tour you will go in front of the mountains mentioned. (Not included in the Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountain package)

Briefing:
We will have a meeting before your trip with the guide at our office for a tour orientation. The meeting will be at 6:30 PM.
Experience of our guides:
All our guides have a minimum of 3 years of experience. They are professional, responsible, and nature and mountain lovers. They will make your trip safe and enjoyable.
FIRST AID:
All our guides have received high-mountain first aid training. They always carry a basic first aid kit (altitude sickness pills, anti-diarrhea, anti-vomiting medication, bandages, muscle pain creams) and also oxygen for emergencies.
Transportation:
The following transportation services required during the tour are included:
• Tourist transport from Cusco – Mollepata (approx. 2h 30min)
• Transport from Mollepata – Challacancha (approx. 45 minutes)
• Tourist train from Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo
• Tourist transport from Ollantaytambo station – Cusco (Plaza Regocijo)

Return train schedules – We work with the EXPEDITION TRAIN at 14:55 and/or 21:50.
Camp infrastructure:
We have established campsites at each camping location, including:
• In Soraypampa: Rustic cabins with 13cm thick mattresses.
• In Colpapampa: Domes with 13cm thick mattresses.
• In Sahuayo Beach: Domes with 13cm thick mattresses.
Accommodation:
The accommodation included in the package is a basic hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes.

Support Staff:
