Itinerary

Day 1: Reception and welcome to the city of Cusco

Cusco Completo - Qoricancha

Upon arrival in the city of Cusco, a representative will be waiting at Velasco Astete International Airport for your transfer to the selected hotel, where you will receive an informative briefing and the tickets to be used for our activities.

At 1:00 p.m., we will begin the City Tour. We will start by visiting the impressive Temple of QORICANCHA, considered the main Inca temple, where our professional guide will provide detailed information about this site. Then, we will board our vehicle to visit the outstanding archaeological centers, starting with SAQSAYWAMAN, strategically located and offering a spectacular panoramic view of Cusco. This site is famous for its massive polished and carved stones.

We will continue to the mystical Temple of QENQO, where the Incas conducted religious sacrifices during the Inca period. Afterwards, we will explore the Inca military and control center, known as PUKA PUKARA. Finally, we will visit the Temple of TAMBOMACHAY, renowned for its impressive water fountains.

We will return to the city of Cusco at approximately 6:30 p.m., dropping you off near the Main Square to enjoy the city’s nighttime scenery.

At 6:30 a.m., our transportation will pick you up from your hotel to begin the Sacred Valley Tour. We will travel for approximately 1 hour to reach the town of CHINCHERO, where we will visit its church and the fascinating archaeological park. You will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of textile production at a craft center, where ancient weaving and wool-dyeing techniques are still used.

Next, we will head to the impressive archaeological site of MORAY, known for its enigmatic circular terraces. Then, we will visit the famous SALINERAS DE MARAS, a set of approximately 5,000 salt ponds that are still used to extract salt for human consumption.

After this exciting day, we will continue to the charming town of Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. Afterwards, we will proceed to OLLANTAYTAMBO, known as the “living Inca city” due to the preservation of its original urban design from the Inca period. In Ollantaytambo, we will explore the archaeological park, which houses the imposing Temple of the Sun, a megalithic construction that stands out along with the Temple of the 10 Niches, sacred fountains, and the face of the Andean god Tunupa, among other wonders.

Later, we will go to the train station in Ollantaytambo, where we will board the train to the charming town of Aguas Calientes, with a journey lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes. Upon arrival, our staff will welcome you and transfer you to the assigned hotel. That same evening, a local tour guide will visit to coordinate the details of the exciting tour for the following day. We will spend the night in Aguas Calientes.

We will begin the day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. One hour before entering Machu Picchu, we will head to the bus station for a short 25-minute ride that will take us to the majestic Inca City. There, our professional guide will be waiting to accompany us on this unique experience.

Once inside, we will enjoy an approximately two-hour guided tour, exploring the most emblematic and intriguing corners of Machu Picchu. We will learn the history and mystery behind its abandonment for centuries and marvel at the impressive agricultural terraces and advanced irrigation systems that allowed year-round food production.

The archaeological complex contains over 200 structures, including houses, plazas, granaries, temples, and observatories. Among the most notable sites we will visit are: the Temple of the Sun, the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Temple of the Condor. We will also see the Funerary Rock, the Main Gate, the Acllahuasi, the Royal Mausoleum, and the Princess’ House, among many other architectural wonders.

At the end of the tour, we will board the bus back to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch on your own. At the agreed time, we will head to the train station for the return journey to Ollantaytambo, and finally continue in private transport to the city of Cusco.

At the scheduled time, our transportation will pick you up from your hotel to begin the experience.

Our first destination will be the San Cristóbal Viewpoint, where we will enjoy a unique panoramic view of the city of Cusco. We will continue with a short walk to the picturesque Siete Borreguitos Street, one of the most photogenic and “Instagrammable” corners of the city.

Next, we will head to Hatun Rumiyoc Street, where the famous 12-Angled Stone, carved in green diorite, is located—a symbol of the perfection of Inca architecture.

The following stop will be Kusicancha, a historic site where the ninth Inca, Pachacútec, was born, considered the most important of the Inca Empire. Then we will walk along Loreto Street, which still preserves the aesthetic and grandeur of the Inca walls, until reaching the Plaza de Armas (Huacaypata). Here, our guide will share the fascinating history of this place.

Next, we will visit the traditional San Pedro Market, inaugurated in 1910 and considered one of Cusco’s main marketplaces. Inside, we will find colorful stalls with fruits, flowers, medicinal herbs, handicrafts, local products, and seasonal fairs.

Finally, we will conclude the experience with lunch at a traditional picantería, where we will taste some of the most representative dishes of Cusco’s gastronomy.

We begin the tour with pickup from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m., then head to the Pacchanta community, located on the slopes of the Ausangate Mountain. It is reached via the new Southern Interoceanic Highway and a dirt road, approximately 3 hours from the city of Cusco.

Once in Pacchanta, we will have a semi-buffet breakfast. After breakfast, we will start the hike to explore the 7 lagoons. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, we will arrive at a viewpoint to admire the first lagoon, known as Laguna Pucacocha. After a well-deserved photo session, we will continue walking to see the second Laguna Patacocha, then the third Laguna Alqacocha, and minutes later the turquoise-colored Laguna Qomercocha.

Finally, we will see Laguna Orco Otorongo. This small lagoon, due to its shape and surrounding landscape, resembles the Otorongo (a wild feline native to the American jungles) in form and markings. Nearby is Laguna China Otorongo, referring to the female of this feline species. The panoramic views of both lagoons are impressive and perfect for photographs. Laguna Azulcocha will be the last of the 7-lagoon circuit, with dark blue waters. Its beauty, along with the surrounding mountain scenery, is highly appreciated by tourists who often take photos here.

Finally, we will begin the return journey, approximately 2 hours, back to Pacchanta, where we will enjoy a semi-buffet lunch. Afterwards, there will be the option to relax in the Pacchanta hot springs, located at 4,600 meters above sea level, providing a unique and unforgettable experience.

After enjoying a relaxing bath, we will prepare to return to Cusco via the same interoceanic highway, arriving in the city around 7:00 p.m.

Pickup will be at your hotel at 4:30 a.m. During the journey, you will enjoy views of local wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of travel, we will stop at the Cusipata community at a cozy restaurant to enjoy a delicious breakfast and recharge for the day.

We will continue our journey to Combapata (approximately 30 minutes by transport). Along the way, we will take the route to the Palccoyo Mountain Range, a 2-hour journey that includes a stop at the historic colonial bridge of Checacupe, a perfect spot to admire and capture unique moments.

Upon arriving in the village of Palcoyo, we will start a moderate hike of approximately 1 hour, reaching an altitude of over 4,600 meters, traversing stunning landscapes toward the colorful mountains of Palccoyo. During the hike, you will have the opportunity to admire different mountain ranges and, if desired, explore the enigmatic stone forest, climbing independently.

After our visit to the Palccoyo mountain range, we will return along the same path to our transport to begin the return journey, stopping again at the restaurant to enjoy a delicious Andean lunch. We will conclude the day with the return to Cusco.

At the scheduled time, our transport will pick you up from your hotel for the transfer to the airport. This marks the end of our services.
