Overview

This exciting 7-day itinerary in Cusco combines culture, nature and adventure. It includes exploring Cusco and its archaeological parks, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, the Coloured Mountain and a tour of the islands of Lake Titicaca before returning home from Juliaca.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco / City Tour

Arrival in the city of Cusco, reception at Velasco Astete International Airport and transfer to the hotel. At 1:00 p.m., the City Tour begins. We start with a visit to the Temple of Qoricancha. Then, we head to the archaeological sites, such as Sacsayhuamán, known for its strategic location and huge polished stones. We continue to the mystical Inca temple of Qenqo, where religious ceremonies were held. Next, we visit the Inca control and military center, Puka Pukara, and finally, we stop at the Temple of Tambomachay with its impressive water fountains. Return to the hotel around 6:30 p.m. Overnight in Cusco.

The tour starts at 6:30 a.m. First, we visit Chinchero to explore its church and archaeological park. We also have the opportunity to learn about a textile production center that preserves ancestral techniques. Next, we continue to Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces, and the Maras salt mines, with around 5,000 salt pools still in use today. Afterwards, we travel to Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch. Later, we visit Ollantaytambo, known as the “Living Inca City,” featuring the impressive Temple of the Sun and other remarkable structures. Finally, we take the train to Aguas Calientes, where the hotel staff will be waiting to assist us. In the evening, a local tour guide will meet with us to provide information and coordinate the next day’s visit. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

At the agreed time, we boarded the bus to get to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on a 25-minute trip. We visited the citadel for approximately 2 hours, with a guide explaining all its details. Then you have free time for lunch on your own before boarding the train back to Cusco, with a stop at Ollantaytambo. From there, a bus takes you back to Cusco. Night in Cusco.

At 4:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel to start the journey to Vinicunca, also known as the 7-Color Mountain. We will arrive in Cusipata and then at Qomer Qocha, where we will have breakfast. After that, we will prepare for the approximately 1-hour hike to the top of Vinicunca, which is located at 5,200 meters above sea level. You will have time to take photos and enjoy the stunning views before returning to Qomer Qocha. Afterwards, we will have lunch and then return to Cusco. At 9:00 p.m., we will transfer you to the bus terminal for your journey to Puno.

This tour begins in Cusco with an overnight bus ride to Puno. You will arrive in Puno at 5:30 a.m. the next day, where our staff will pick you up and take you to the hotel to get ready. At 7:45 a.m., we will pick you up from the hotel and head to the port to board Lake Titicaca. Our first stop is at the Uros Islands, famous for their floating homes made of totora reeds. You also have the option to sail on a traditional totora boat. Next, we will continue to Amantani Island, where you will be warmly received by local families and share unforgettable moments with them. There is also an optional hike to the top of the island to watch the sunset. Overnight stay on Amantani Island.

After breakfast, we sail to the Taquile Island, where we interact with the inhabitants and learn about their textile craftsmanship and customs. Tour of the island to visit non-tourist places. Lunch and return to Puno by boat, arriving around 5.30 pm. Night in Puno.

At the agreed time, transfer to the Inca Manco Cápac de Juliaca International Airport for your departure. end of our services.
