Itinerary
Day 1: South Valley

We will begin the tour by picking up the group from their respective hotels between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. From there, we will embark on a journey of approximately 40 minutes to our first stop: Tipón.
This impressive archaeological complex stands out for its 12 agricultural terraces, still in use today, built with finely carved stone walls. The most remarkable feature is its advanced irrigation system, which continues to function to this day, demonstrating the hydraulic ingenuity of the Inca civilization.
We will then continue our tour to Pikillaqta, an important urban center belonging to the Wari culture, which predated the Inca Empire. This archaeological site features over a thousand constructions, including plazas, colcas (food storage buildings), housing areas, temples, and long, narrow streets that made up a perfectly planned city. It is estimated that some buildings reached up to four stories high, showcasing the advanced architectural level of this ancient civilization.
Our next destination will be Andahuaylillas, a picturesque Andean village from the colonial era, known for its magnificent San Pedro Apóstol Church, famous for its 17th and 18th-century murals and decorations. Due to its artistic and historical beauty, it is often referred to as the “Sistine Chapel of America.”
Before returning to Cusco, we will make a stop at the traditional village of Saylla, famous for its delicious pork chicharrones, where visitors can taste this typical dish (optional).
Finally, we will return to the city of Cusco, arriving around 3:00 p.m., thus concluding a journey full of history, culture, and living traditions of the Southern Valley of Cusco.
